Middle School English One Online Course Text (Ages 10–12)
This course is designed to solidify students’ understanding of grammar by bringing together all the key elements learned during elementary school years. With a strong focus on grammar, students develop foundational skills that will support confident writing through middle and high school.
Students use Easy Grammar 6 as the primary text and engage in structured lessons that include in-class instruction and homework for skill reinforcement. By year’s end, students will be able to identify all parts of a sentence with confidence.
Writing instruction begins with a review of sentence and paragraph structure, progressing to bi-weekly compositions that allow students to practice the full writing process and receive personalized feedback.
Weekly vocabulary and spelling lessons focus on prefixes, suffixes, and words that integrate naturally into student writing, helping build language skills in meaningful ways.
Parents participate by grading spelling, vocabulary, and grammar assignments using provided answer keys, while teachers oversee compositions, exams, and overall progress throughout the year.
