Spanish 2 – Online Course Supplement (Ages 14–18)
Prerequisite: Spanish 1 or equivalent
This online course supplement builds on the foundation of Spanish 1 and supports students in earning a second high school foreign language credit in Spanish. Using the BJU Press Spanish 2 textbook, students will strengthen their communication skills for everyday situations while deepening their understanding of grammar and culture.
Key topics include:
- Reflexive verbs
- Direct and indirect objects
- Pronouns and sentence structure
- Preterit and imperfect tenses
- Weekly vocabulary expansion
- Continued cultural and historical highlights
Students will also learn scripture passages in Spanish to equip them for gospel-centered conversations in Spanish-speaking environments. The class emphasizes practical usage and understanding of the language, with new grammar and vocabulary introduced each week.
The 90-minute class session supports 3–3½ hours of weekly independent work, including written assignments, online exercises, quizzes, and tests. Consistent daily practice and class participation are essential for success.
