American Government & The Constitution Online Course Supplement (Grades 10–12)
This comprehensive one-year government course provides high school students with a half-credit in American Government and a half-credit in Constitutional Law. Designed for upper-level students, the course explores the foundations of democracy, the drafting of the U.S. Constitution, and the three branches of government.
Students analyze primary sources including the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Federalist Papers, and key Supreme Court cases that cover both historical and current constitutional law. Weekly homework, class discussions, debates, and semester projects engage students deeply in civic understanding.
- While no formal prerequisites are required, High School American History is strongly recommended to prepare students for this course.
