General Science Instruction Set for Co-Ops & Classrooms (Grades 6–8)
Prerequisites: Middle School Math or equivalent
This engaging middle school science course is designed for students ages 11–13 and provides a broad introduction to God’s order and design in the natural world. Ideal for co-op or classroom settings, it prepares students for future lab sciences while fostering critical thinking and curiosity.
Content includes: the scientific method, variables in experiments, scientific analysis, earth science, geology, meteorology, oceanography, astronomy, chemistry, life science, general biology, physics, simple machines, environmental science, and creation-based inquiry.
Each week, students participate in hands-on lab activities, take notes in their course supplement, and reinforce learning with PowerPoint lectures. Safety procedures and lab best practices are emphasized. Module tests are taken at home with parental supervision. A science project is required.

Content covered: introduction into the scientific method, variables in experiments, inquiry method, scientific analysis, earth science, general astronomy, geology, meteorology, oceanography, chemistry, physics, life science, general biology, environmental science, creation, simple machines.
Labs will include a PowerPoint lecture over material covered at home prior to class. Students perform hands-on experiments. Students will take notes in the course supplement and the instructor will determine quizzes and exams.
Safety protocol and best lab practices will be emphasized. Module Tests are taken at home with parent supervision.
