This year-long math curriculum bridges the gap between arithmetic and pre-algebra, preparing students for higher-level thinking and algebraic reasoning. It’s ideal for students ages 10–13 who are either ready to accelerate or who need reinforcement in core skills before moving on.
Like all our group-format courses, Transition Math is designed to be taught once a week in a co-op, classroom, or small-group setting, with students completing practice and assignments at home under a parent’s supervision.
The curriculum reviews and strengthens core arithmetic concepts—including place value, measurement, fractions, partial amounts, and word problems—while introducing early algebraic reasoning. Students completing this course are fully prepared for Pre-Algebra and beyond.
