World Geography (Grades 9–12)
This high school geography course is rooted in the Creation Mandate found in Genesis 1:28, where God commands humanity to “Be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, and have dominion over every living thing.” Students will explore not only the physical features of the earth—such as landforms, climate, and ecosystems—but also the dynamic relationships between people and their environments.
Designed for students aged 14 to 18, the course provides a comprehensive introduction to the field of geography, including essential map reading and interpretation skills. Throughout the year, students will study the major geographical regions of the world, learning how culture, economy, politics, and environment intersect.
- Class sessions are highly interactive and engaging, incorporating lectures, group discussions, simulations, and educational games. These activities encourage critical thinking and allow students to actively apply geographical concepts. By the end of the course, students will have a deeper appreciation for the global diversity God has created and be better equipped to understand current events and global issues from a biblical perspective.
