Students’ writing in later middle school and high school years will be strengthened by the development of strong grammatical skills. Students will also study vocabulary and grow in confidence through writing weekly.

- Easy Grammar 6 will be utilized.
- A grammar lesson is included.
- Homework will help reinforce the skill taught in class.
- By the end of the year, students will be able to identify all parts of a sentence.
- At the beginning of the year, students will review basic sentence and paragraph structure.
- Students will complete bi-weekly compositions.
- Weekly vocabulary charts.
- Vocabulary/Spelling words that teach basic prefixes and suffixes.
- Vocabulary/Spelling words which can be integrated into students’ writing.
