Biology 2: Anatomy & Physiology (Grades 10–12)
This advanced high school biology course offers a detailed study of the 11 organ systems of the human body. Designed for students who have completed Biology 1 and Chemistry 1, this curriculum emphasizes both scientific understanding and appreciation for the design of the human body from a Biblical worldview.
Students engage in extensive microscope work and hands-on dissections. Depending on instructor guidance, dissections may include a chicken wing, sheep brain, cow eye, kidney, sheep heart, pregnant rat, and fetal pig. Lab safety and best practices are emphasized throughout.
Weekly labs are paired with at-home study and preparation. Students take notes in a provided course supplement, complete quizzes and module tests (administered at home under parent supervision), and write formal lab reports.
