Chemistry 2 (Grades 10–12)
This upper-level high school chemistry course is designed for students who have completed Chemistry 1 and Algebra 2. It serves as a CLEP prep course and covers advanced chemistry topics with an emphasis on lab work, precision, and scientific reasoning — all grounded in a Biblical worldview that highlights God’s design in the structure of matter and energy.
Topics include stoichiometry, atomic theory, molecular structure, states of matter, solutions, acid-base equilibria, electrochemistry, reaction kinetics, organic chemistry, and nuclear chemistry.
The course includes weekly lab sessions where students perform hands-on experiments and follow formal safety protocols. Labs begin with an instructor-led PowerPoint overview of the week’s material, which students are expected to read in advance at home. Students will complete formal lab reports and take module tests at home under parent supervision.
