Algebra 2 (Ages 14–17)
This Algebra 2 course is the second in Saxon’s two-course sequence integrating geometry into the algebra curriculum, helping students advance toward calculus before graduation. Designed for students ages 14 to 17, it covers topics such as graphing, real and complex numbers, unit multiplier conversions, proportions, percents, rates, exponents, roots, and solving various types of equations.
Students also explore quadratic equations, trigonometry, and are introduced to key science concepts including vectors, pH, trigonometric functions, and standard gas laws.
This course may be taken after Algebra 1, Geometry, or an equivalent course, offering flexibility in math progression.
