Middle School Engineering 1 (Ages 11–13)
This course offers lower middle school students an exciting introduction to the world of engineering, presented through a Christian worldview. Students explore a variety of engineering disciplines including mechanical, computer, biomedical, chemical, electrical, aerospace, and architecture.
Each week, students work in teams to build and design hands-on projects such as spaghetti bridges, dams, water turbines, electroplating, and more. These projects help demonstrate engineering principles while encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, and ethical decision-making.
In addition to practical activities, students receive weekly assignments focused on simple math concepts, engineering fundamentals, and learning to draw objects in isometric form.
- This course emphasizes Christian ethics as a foundation for understanding the responsibility that comes with engineering and design.
