High School Engineering 2 (Ages 15–18)
Designed for high school students interested in collegiate-level engineering, this course builds on High School Engineering 1 (or equivalent experience) and requires Algebra 1 as a prerequisite.
Students explore advanced engineering fields including mechanical, electrical, aerospace, computer, civil, biomedical, and architectural engineering. Projects include designing breadboard circuits and actuated drawbridges with Arduinos, drone science and 3D printing, house plan drawings, structural design models, and site layout development using CAD programming.
The course also emphasizes leadership development, character, and professional skills such as engineering presentations and marketing. Weekly assignments reinforce essential physics and math concepts.
- Biblical teaching and engineering ethics are integrated throughout to demonstrate how Christianity influences both personal and professional life.
