High School World History (Moore) – Grades 9–12
This comprehensive, year-long world history course offers students an immersive journey through the pivotal events, great civilizations, and influential ideas that have shaped human history from ancient times to the present. Grounded in a Biblical worldview, the course follows the framework set by Saint Augustine’s City of God, exploring the dual narratives of the city of man and the city of God.
Students will examine the rise and fall of empires, the contributions of significant historical figures, and the cultural, political, and religious movements that have influenced the course of history. Through engaging readings and thoughtful reflection, they will develop a deeper understanding of how God’s story is intricately woven through human history.
This course is designed not only to provide knowledge but to inspire a lifelong passion for learning and discovery. It emphasizes critical thinking and the recognition of history as a meaningful and ongoing adventure, helping students see their own place within the grand narrative of God’s plan.
Ideal for high school students in grades 9–12 who are eager to explore history deeply and thoughtfully, this course lays a solid foundation for future studies in history, literature, and theology.
Please note: there are 2 different World History books: Notgrass and Moore. Double check with your teacher.
